This has gone by so quickly; it’s amazing. It’s been a fantastic run, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward to the next one!!

Drop the lid on A Universal Monster, because this one’s done, people. But don’t worry, because really… we’re just getting started.
A gigantic and full-blooded round of applause for the astonishing JoJo Seames. She’s the best thing that ever happened to this little monster comic, and her best is yet to come.
And Josh Krach, of course, is the best letterer in webcomics. I don’t expect any argument.
But the bunch of us are taking a few weeks off before we begin the next arc. Starting next Wednesday, we’ll be running a new pin-up every week to tide you over until we return. We’ve got some great artists lined up to take a crack at the Monster Mishmash of Tomorrow!
And don’t forget about our other comics – Awesome Hospital, Makeshift Man, DIS, and Troop Infinity!
Finally, in the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT department, we’re doing a print version of Monster Plus: A Universal Monster, and it’s going to be gorgeous. Should be ready just in time for Heroescon 2011 and A-Kon, but more on this later.
In the meantime, here’s a sneak peak:

Redskins GM Scot McCloughan told CSN’s Tarik El-Bashir that he would consider selecting Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota with the fifth pick in the NFL Draft. Washington currently has Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy under contract for the 2015 season. Regardless of the current crop of passers on the roster, the Redskins have been linked with Oregon star quarterback Marcus Mariota with their No. 5 overall pick for some time.聽
“It’s a definite consideration, no doubt about it,” McCloughan said when asked if the Redskins would draft Mariota. “It’s the most important position on the field.”
McCloughan聽聽that the team has not yet decided whether or not the team will pick up the fifth-year option on Griffin鈥檚 contract. The option would pay Griffin about $16 million in 2016.
鈥淲e鈥檝e had some early discussion on it,鈥?McCloughan said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e still talking it through.鈥?
Griffin’s option would be a lot of money for a QB that does not seem to have a firm grasp on the starting position. If Mariota joins the Redskins, that grasp looks even less secure.
